Operation Ward 57 charity fundraiser

The Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society is honored to support Operation Ward 57 through a special charitable fundraiser. We will be selling medallions featuring Obi-Wan Kenobi, the heroic Jedi Master from Star Wars - The Clone Wars. The medallions were produced in a one-time run of 1000 medallions with the permission of Lucasfilm Ltd. All proceeds generated through the sale of these medallions will be donated to Operation Ward 57. You may order a maximum of three medallions. Ordering instructions can be found below.

About Operation Ward 57

Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) in Washington DC is the first stop for many of America's returning wounded service members from Iraq and Afghanistan.  Known as "the amputee ward", the orthopedic Ward 57 at WRAMC houses some of the most severely injured patients for weeks or even months. The painful sacrifice of losing one or more limbs is the new battle these service members and their families now fight.

Operation Ward 57 was started to have a direct way for individuals and companies to show their support and raise funds for these courageous men and women who have given so much. The program is run through pro-football player Kerry Carter's THINK BIG FOUNDATION, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Tax ID: 20-196-2446, in partnership with Atmosphere Artist Management LLC.

About the medallions

These medallions were inspired by the concept of "challenge coins" which are popular among military personnel. Given Operation Ward 57's efforts for wounded service members, PSWCS felt it to be a distinctly appropriate collectible to offer to support the charity.

This will be a 1.75”-diameter medallion with colored enamel on both faces. Here are photos of the medallion:
